This year saw Warrington Music Festival 2019 headliners Black Grape and the Farm, as well as 22 local bands who played in Warrington’s Old Market place last weekend. The Saturday was a ticketed event to allow for numbers, however the Sunday was simply a case of turning up. Even though the weather was not quite as scorching as last year, people still turned out to experience one of Warrington’s great music events.
This year’s festival utilised our dB Technologies VIO L210 line array system along with Martin WS218x subs and VIO X10 front fills. This system has worked really well for us recently on festivals up to 7500 people. We’ve been really pleased with the results of implimenting a broadside cardioid sub array across the front of the stage. On stage monitoring was 16 of our Martin Audio XD15s driven from Crown amps with our built in DSP. Consoles were Digico SD10 on stage and SD9 out front.
The Lighting rig this year featured moving lights from Robe with our LED300 washes, 600e spots and 100 LED Beams. Mixed together with elation Six Par 200s and 100s controlled from our Chamsys MQ100 Pro consoles.
It’s always great to be involved in live music in our home town and this event every year really brings out the local talent. It’s one of our favourite summer festivals for its great acts and atmosphere.
dBS Solutions provided PA system Hire and Lighting hire for this event back in May.
