Glastonferry is a one day ticketed music festival held in Warrington at The Ferry Tavern Pub in Penketh. In it’s unique postion situated on the Trans Pennine Trail and between the River Mersey and the Sankey to St Helens canal, the event took place on Saturday the 7th September and the weather held out beautifully for this late summer’s evening.
The Festival followed on from a successful Glastonferry Festival at Bank Park back in June, where we were pleased to have provided full production. Festival goers enjoyed great sunshine and a brilliant line up of bands and DJ’s.
The running order saw Indie Rock tribute bands such as the Crawlers, Mused, Antartic Monkeys, Fu Fu Fighters and many more. The Festival comprised of two stages, both with lighting hire and PA system hire provided by dBS Solutions.
It’s been nice to return to working on the Glastonferry events 10 years after we provided sound and lighting for the first ever event at the tavern. This year’s event featured Martin Audio XD15s and WS218x on the main stage along with a smaller system of the same on the second stage. Engineers Joe Baker & Gareth Edwards used a Yamaha QL1 & Allen & Heath GLD to mix the events with Lighting engineers Sam Edwards and Danny Burrows selecting Chamsys consoles.
Thanks again to all involved who made this September event a success.
