The Morecombe Carnival has grown in to a full festival weekend with lots of artisits featuring on the main stage, such as headliner Toyah, four times Brit Award nominated English musician, singer, songwriter, actress, producer and author. Also The Christians, renowned for an endless string of soulful yet socially aware hits… Forgotten Town, Ideal World, Born Again, Harvest for the World, What’s in a Word, Hooverville, Words, Father, The Bottle and many more.
Lots of other events took place in the Bay Arena such as Axe throwing and fencing whilsy along the promenade there were fabulous attractions such as the Flower Power Parade.
Despite heavy rain and winds which did lead to some events being cancelled, the dBS team soldiered on providing full production for the event. dBS provided The audio system as well as lighting equipment flying our dB Technologies VIO L210 system along with 12 of our Martin Audio WS218x subs in a brodside cardioid array. Consoles where Digico SD9 &10. Our lighting package was a mixture of Robe Robin 600e spots and Robin 300 LED washes controlled from Chamays MQ100 Pro.
