At dBS Solutions, we were thrilled to collaborate with The Hallé Orchestra for their extraordinary performance alongside the acclaimed Nitin Sawhney. This unique project called for a fusion of technical precision and artistic sensitivity, and our team was honored to deliver audio production for this exceptional event.
Precision Audio for an Orchestra of 65
Partnering closely with the artists’ engineers, David and Chris, we ensured that the 65-piece orchestra was supported by the highest quality sound equipment. The setup included a robust click system to synchronize the ensemble and an array of premium microphones from DPA, AKG, and Neumann.
On-stage monitoring was seamlessly managed with our Sennheiser IEM (In-Ear Monitoring) systems and Martin Audio XE300 stage monitors, ensuring that each performer could hear and respond to the intricate layers of the music with clarity.
Enhanced Sound Reinforcement
While the venue’s in-house Meyer PA system provided an excellent starting point, we enhanced the experience with additional support from our Martin Audio Torus T1230 system. This included three cabinets per side, delivering unparalleled sound coverage and clarity across the beautiful auditorium. Low-end frequencies were handled by our Martin Audio SXCF18 cardioid subwoofers, ensuring a deep, impactful bass response without overwhelming the nuanced performance.
