Folk on The Docks

We’ve just got back from a beautiful weekend on Albert Docks looking after production for The all new Folk on The Dock Festival.

The sun was shining as over 82000 fans descended on the site over the Bank Holiday weekend. They where met with Folk from across the spectrum along with some great traditional sea shanties including the first ever performance of “Our Liverpool song,” a specially commissioned Sea Shanty for the modern day, written by Jason Ellis and Kathryn Rudge.

dBS Solutions supplied full production for The Dock Stage along with The Stan Ambrose stage in Anchor Courtyard. We also provided several smaller systems for the other stages around the venues in the Dock and on some of the boats in the area.

This year all at the Docks have been woking hard on the calendar of events and we are delighted to have been asked by our friends over at Event Deign Co and Fit The Bill Productions to get involved with them.

The weekend was very well received and the sun held out for the three days making for a great event.  I must thank all of the dBS Solutions Team on the Dock stage Damian Breeze, Matt Chisholm, Sam Edwards, & Nathan Lewis mixing acts on the Martin Audio XD15 and WS218x system on a Digico SD9 console.  Rob Parkinson and Matt Wharton entertained the crowds in Anchor Court with more XD12s and WS18x speakers on a Midas Pro 1 console and our other floating team ensuring that the Ohm TRS112 systems dotted around the other stages performed as planned. We are all looking forward to being back at the docks next week for the Pirates adventure event not to be missed.
