Theatre sound specialists dBS Solutions where thrilled to be working with producer Paul Taylor Mills on this exciting concert in the heart of London’s West end.

The concert featuring Willemijn of Wicked and Disney’s Frozen, took place in The Ambassadors Theatre on top of the Stomp set so space was tight, as was the load in time.  The concerts live band featured Drums, Bass and Guitar along with Musical Director Tom Deering on Piano.  Willemjn was joined by guest vocalists James Fox and Victoria Hamilton-Barritt who sang some breathtaking numbers to the sell out crowd.

dBS Sound designer Chris Bogg specified a Midas Pro 1 for theatre sound veteran  Andy Waddell, with the house Nexo PA system more than adequate for the roll,  Chris turned his attention to the stage monitoring. “With such a compact stage layout getting the stage sound clean and intelligible was the key” remarks Chris. We specified some of our Ohm TRS112 wedge monitors, eight in total for their compact footprint and clear tone.

Stage audio on the day was looked after by Matt Chisholm with Andy on the console and Chris looking after the system.  The concert went fantastically with great reviews from the press with our producer kindly remarking, “it was one of the best sounding concerts I’ve ever been involved in.”
